Vintage Kaftans

vintage clothing Brighton

These vintage 70s kaftans are a dream and will be available to purchase from our website!

Some u can find with buttons all the way down so u can where it as an open jacket or kimono or u can close it but I prefer it open and wear something underneath ✨

These shawls make great cosy blankets / scarfs in the winter and in the summer I use them as picnic blankets or I throw it over myself when it gets chilly in the evening - I love the fact they are made from recycled plastic bottles.

I always stock these in the shop as they are such great sellers and perfect for the festival season too !

Most of these vintage kaftans come from Morocco and India.

In the Sixties, Diana Vreeland who was the editor of vogue magazine "discovered" kaftans on a trip to Morocco and wrote about it in vogue as ideal hostess dresses. Elizabeth Taylor, Bianca Jagger and Diane  von Furstenberg  then started wearing them so then everyone followed in there footsteps! Now the Kaftan is really back in fashion and I can’t get enough of them, especially the embroidered ones ❤️✨

Keep your eyes peeled regularly on my web page as I will be hunting these beautiful dresses down whenever I can !
